IDENTITY Participant Course (Men)
Discovering Your Potential
Is there anything significant about me? Is there more to my life than what I am currently living? I have dreams to make a lasting impact, but I just don’t know how to get started.
Does this sound like you? If so, the IDENTITY course may be a great “next step!”
When you hear the word "leader," what comes to mind? Do you see
yourself as a leader? People sometimes disqualify themselves from
leadership, thinking, "that's just not me!" What if leadership is simply
influence? God calls us to live lives of influence, bringing what we
have to Him. In this session, participants will discover their unique
strengths and spiritual gifts and begin to identify their “first name.”
When we know who we are we can begin to explore what God has in mind for
us in His mission.
Here is a course overview...
Session One: Getting Ready
You are about to embark on a "learning journey" that uses technology that is maybe new to you. To set your group up for success, the first session is set aside to familiarize everyone with the course, expectations, and technology. You will meet one another and be prepared to engage with the IDENTITY course!
Session Two: Acknowledging God's Unique Deposit
When you hear the word "leader," what comes to mind? Do you see yourself
as a leader? People sometimes disqualify themselves from leadership,
thinking, "that's just not me!" What if leadership is simply influence?
God calls us to live lives of influence, bringing what we have to Him.
In this session, participants will discover their unique strengths and
spiritual gifts and begin to identify their “first name.” When we know
who we are we can begin to explore what God has in mind for us in His
mission.
Session Three: Removing the Lies + The Power of Women Released
Lies can keep men from living out of their true identity and walking fully in their influence. In this session we will look at the lies and roadblocks that hold men back. We will also look at God’s original plan for women and men as equal partners, mandated to care for creation. As men, we can champion women as Ezers.
Session Four: The Power of God's Story in Your Life
God has had His eye on you from the beginning. Scripture
tells us that “long before He laid down earth’s foundation, He had “His
eye on us!” God has been developing you for purpose
your entire life!
In this session we will look at Robert Clinton’s work on the making of a
leader and process your leadership timeline. Your timeline will help
you see the story God is (and has always been) unfolding in your life.
Session Five: The Power of Courage
Partnering with God will always require us to stretch ourselves beyond our comfort zone. Sometimes we can push ourselves to meet the challenge before us, and sometimes we resist and pull back. Our ability to rise to steeper challenges and take risks ultimately rests in our confidence in God. In this session, we will look at how we can practically build our confidence, which enables us to be on mission with Him.
Session Six: The Power of Next Steps
Let’s bring it all together. It is important to process and solidify our learning. We don’t want this course to end as “just another bible study,” but want our best next steps to be clear. In this session, we will each share the insights gained from this course, by presenting our IDENTITY statement and SMARTER Goal. This will be followed up with prayer for one another.
By the end of the course you will have:
- Identified your unique strengths and spiritual gifts.
- Pinpointed the lies that hold you back in your leadership.
- Completed a leadership timeline to identify and share a “turning point” in your personal journey
- Examined Women, Leadership and the Blessed Alliance, analyzing your own convictions about the subject and creating a plan for further study as needed.
- Answered the questions “Who am I?” and “What did God make me to do?” in light of God’s Mission
- Mapped out your “best next steps” using the IDENTITY Statement and SMARTER goal
- Qualified as an IDENTITY course Facilitator in order to facilitate participant courses in your local community.
*Please note - The coursework includes a a Strengthsfinder assessment which is approximately 28 CAD and is not included in the enrollment cost of IDENTITY.

IDENTITY offers a theological, historical and sociological foundation for women who have absorbed mixed messages about their place in God’s Church, causing them to be reluctant to step out and lead. This curriculum is unlike any other women’s small group material I’ve seen. It is stunning in its breadth, powerful in its honesty, and unlimited in its life-shaping potential. - Patti Miller, Lead pastor of Evangel Pentecostal Church in Montreal, Quebec
I’m a huge fan, and looking forward to hearing how our communities, churches, nation and our world are impacted by the women who dig deep and work through the ZOE resources. - Ellen Graf-Martin, entrepreneur and President of Graf-Martin Communications
